My approach
I am a psychodynamic therapist offering individuals once weekly, short term or open-ended therapy.
The aim of the therapy is to bring the unconscious mind into consciousness, facilitated with a supportive, non-judgemental environment.
The unconscious can hold onto memories and feelings which can be difficult to process, and subsequently affect behaviour that has evolved from early life into adulthood.
The therapeutic relationship is central to the process, encouraging you to talk freely about whatever is on your mind. This helps you recognise unwanted behaviours and patterns and explore new ways of being in the world, with your self and with others.
Qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of the BACP with experience of having worked in the charity sectors and currently in private practice. I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, identity, attachment issues, bereavement and loss.
