I offer attachment-based psychotherapy, emotionally-focussed couple therapy, and art psychotherapy. I have been practising as a therapist for over a decade, am registered with UKCP and BAAT, and am a BUPA and AVIVA registered practitioner. I trained at The Bowlby Centre, where I have also worked as a Course Tutor; at The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships; and at Goldsmiths University, in London. I work in private practice in London and Cambridge.
I have a particular interest in infertility and PCOS, and in intimacy and psychosexual difficulties both male and female and how this may impact on an individual or a couple's relationship; but also work on issues relating to the demands of parenting, work related issues, living with physical illness and on encouraging the potential for creativity and when desired, spiritual growth. I use an emotionally focussed approach to my work based on Sue Johnson's technique developed in Canada, that largely draws upon the attachment theory of John Bowlby, to promote psychological health and well-being for healthy individual and couple relationships.
I am currently engaged as a therapist with a Family Law Firm in Cambridge and am also involved with further training for the Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Couple Therapy with The NAOS Institute in London, and Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy, an approach to working with attachment trauma, with Diana Fosha in the US.
Before my training as a Psychotherapist, I worked as a Costume Designer in Theatre and Television. My aim is to help people develop fuller personal and professional lives and relationships by working alongside them towards being honest, nurturing hope and optimisim and being open to the expression of love.
