My approach

I am an experienced and skilled counsellor and psychotherapist who has been practicing in this capacity for over 14 years.

My approach is inquisitive yet gentle, non-judgemental and considered. I can recognise unique life experiences, perspectives and any emotional and mental states that might be explored therapeutically. Underpinning my practice are relational and humanistic values, though my work is also informed by existential, psychodynamic and CBT modalities. I blend and integrate theory to tailor a way of working that will fit each individual.

Qualifications & experience

As well as my private practice that I provide at Number 42, I lecture at a London University and provide reflective practice for groups and individuals in organisations. I also supervise the work of trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. I am registered and accredited by the BACP.

Over my career I have worked with a hugely diverse range of clients and issues, within various charities, NHS, Criminal Justice System and private practice. I keep up to date with current research, legislation and safeguarding and have strong ethic around continuing professional development.

Some of the areas I work with are:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Depression
  • Relationship Issues
  • Bereavement, loss and separation
  • Traumatic experiences from the past or present
  • Emotional, Physical and Sexual abuse
  • Low confidence and Self-esteem
  • Substance misuse
  • Isolation and loneliness
  • Domestic violence and abuse

I am currently available to work face to face at Number 42 on Tuesday and Friday morning and early afternoons. I can also provide more flexible hours and days for online sessions.
