Qualifications & experience

I trained at the Minster Centre in integrative psychotherapy and counselling (M.A. 2015), and I am accredited with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy) as well as BACP registered. I have also trained at Entelia Institute since 2012 in deep bodywork/postural integration, and hold a diploma in group-analytic skills (WPF). I work in private practice as well as in the charitable sector and have worked in primary care for many years.

My approach

I combine psychoanalytic and humanistic ideas in my approach. My relational way of working is informed by attachment theory, Gestalt, and body psychotherapy. I also lean on mindfulness-based psychotherapy, including MBCT for stress relief, depression and addictions.

I work with the body and mind as equal partners in psychotherapy. Such integration can ground us in reality and lead to a greater sense of who we are, and how we wish to relate to others.

The therapeutic relationship is at the core of my work. This mutual encounter can create a sense of trust, safety, and shared curiosity between us, and become a holding space for your authenticity. When the unfolding of the therapeutic process happens at your pace, new insights can safely be expressed and integrated.

I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy with individuals, couples, and small groups. I am interested in issues of belonging in multi-cultural Britain and work in English and German language.
