I am an MBACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and graduated from Metanoia Institute in 1995. I have been practising since that time, exploring different theoretical understandings of mental and emotional distress. In September 2016, I will be starting my sixth year of analytic training in Lacanian psychoanalysis at the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research.
I have broad experience having worked in a number of charities, the NHS and in private practice. I currently work with adolescents and with adults in both charity and private practice settings.
I hold a diploma in clinical supervision and supervise both trainee and qualified therapists. I am happy working with individual clients and couples and work with most issues ranging from anxiety and depression, HIV/AIDS, emotional distress to more complex mental health and emotional difficulties.
The philosophy of my practice is that the quality of the relationship is the most important factor of the work in psychotherapy or in longer term psychoanalysis.
I am a trustee of the Philadelphia Association (a psychotherapy training organisation).
