Working with groups, individuals and organisations
My interest in working with individuals in groups began during my teaching career and led me to train as a group psychotherapist. I have worked for 25 years in this field and I find that the experience of being in an analytic group gives people a safe experimental space in which to think and feel with others about the issues which distress and disturb them. Within the group, other people’s perspectives can be very helpful. Despite starting as a group of strangers, a group can become a supportive and intimate arena for change. My groups are usually mixed in age, sex and ethnicity.
I also work with reflective practice groups and experiential groups on training courses, as well as offering mentoring, supervision and individual work.
