I am a counsellor, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with more than 24 years clinical experience. I have worked in the NHS and in student counselling services at both City University and Goldsmiths College and I’ve run a private practice since 1999.
I originally trained in Dance and Theatre and had a long career in the Arts. Then after a period of working as a volunteer counsellor at Child-line I decided to train on as a therapist. I completed a diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Regent’s College in 1998 and an MA Psychotherapy and Society, at Goldsmiths in 2001.
In 2005 I enrolled on the Introductory Course at the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR). Following that I continued my psychoanalytic training there for a further 6 years. I follow the Lacanian discipline and work with individual clients and couples across a wide range of areas including depression, loss, bereavement, suicidal thoughts, sexual, emotional or physical abuse, low self-esteem, anxiety, difficulty in relationships, identity problems and trauma.
