I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist working for the NHS and privately. I have an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling from Birkbeck College London University, a BSc in Psychology from London Guildhall University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Psychology from City University, a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from the Mary Ward Centre and have been training as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist for Adults since 2017.

I have provided counselling since 2006, working with stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, family conflicts, work problems, bereavement, relationship difficulties and chronic illnesses such as epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome and multiple sclerosis, where I believe physical symptoms need psychological understanding to achieve a resolution.

I have also worked with adult international students struggling to come to terms with life in a new country and the anxiety, low confidence and low self-esteem that can stop them achieving their full potential.

I have supported women suffering from domestic violence, focusing on the  psycho-social aspects  which perpetuate abuse as well as the cycle of abusive relationships.

I work Psychodynamically, focusing on the developing client-therapist relationship as this mirrors  patterns of past and current behaviour. This process reveals unconscious thoughts and feelings, providing an opportunity to deepen self-awareness and empowering people to make informed choices that are right for them.

I believe in making Psychological Support available for all in an inclusive, warm, safe, nurturing, confidential setting. I also believe in people's intrinsic capacity to relate, grow and achieve self-awareness collaboratively, creating the resilience we all need to thrive in the face of life's challenges.
